@BlackRose2300  This is a common problem with multiple causes, so it often takes some experimenting to figure out how to fix it.  Do the sims get stuck on the same tasks, and if so, do they always get stuck on those particular tasks; or is it random?  Is it just one sim or a number of them?

I have no idea what you've tried so far to fix this, since you didn't specify.  So I'll just say that the first step is to try repairing the game in Origin: open your game library, right-click on the Sims 4 icon, and select Repair.  If that doesn't help, please test a new save and see whether the same problem happens.  Let me know either way.

By the way, you won't be able to get a refund unless it's only been 24 hours since you bought the game.  Packs aren't eligible for refunds at all, except in circumstances where someone's computer can't run the pack, for example people with the Legacy Edition who buy a newer pack.  So asking for a refund isn't likely to get you anywhere.

    its random tasks and it affects my whole household and I have tried repairing and quitting the game and restarting it, that fixes it for a short period of time but happens again a few mins later or straight away. I tried a command that someone suggested I tried that and nothing and I have moved them to another lot that was another suggestion and that didn't work it just happened again. I don't know what to do and I did spend about £100 pounds or more in one day to buy few of the expansions and packs and all that and now this happens it's not fair when I spend that amount of money after saving it and I cant enjoy the game I spent money on.  I just hope they fix it soon. thank you for responding though I'm very grateful.

    Could be that your computer can't handle the expansion packs? The more you download the slower it does get. Maybe try uninstalling a few of the game packs to see if that fixes the issue?

    I've had past expansions before I bought some of the newer ones I never had this problem before I bought the newer ones about a week or two ago.

    @BlackRose2300  Please test a new save, just to see whether the problem is there too.  This could be limited to a single save, or it could be something about your computer, and this is the fastest way to find out.  It's not a problem with the game itself though, or else a lot more people would be reporting it.  This has been happening to some people lately, but it can often be resolved.
