Thank you! It worked and was easy to do, thank goodness. Very much appreciated! (It's down. I changed it from 100 to 50.) Thanks again!

HELP - jpkarlsen8 years agoHero (Retired)
Tagging @Bluebellflora Since this is a Mac question.
@TashaTophat Your posting will be moved to the Sims Mac board.
- crinrict8 years agoHero+Hi @TashaTophat
it's a file, not a folder. You should have it on your mac as well, same place. Should be called options.ini Im having the same problem and I have taken the steps to solve it but as soon as I found the document labeled options.ini, it says I have no application to open it. what do I do?

Rightclick | Open with select notepad.
i did that but i changed it to 150 then saved the changes then closed sims 4 then restarted my laptop only to launch the sims again with the exact same problem. i go back to the file’s notepad where the scale says 150 and i change it to 200. i follow what i did earlier and it’s still the same. please help.
- crinrict7 years agoHero+Makeing the number bigger makes it even smaller. Try 50.
I tried to look for the document but found nothing but more folders in the Sims 4 folder,
Is it in one of the folders?
Thanks!

it should be directly in thesims4 folders in documents. The file is either called options.ini or just options depending on your Windows settings.
Could you maybe post a a screenshot of how your folders look ?
I have found the document, thanks for your help!
- crinrict7 years agoHero+Good to hear.
Hope it helped with the issue. - Hi! I have the same problem! I don't know what to do what is a text editor
- Thank you soo much!
I’m having the same problem. I have been clicking on the sims and then going to options.ini. I’ve changed the uiscale multiple times to different numbers but it’s still not working.
- crinrict7 years agoHero+@KBara62 What's your current resolution ? Does it make a difference if you change that to something bigger ?
I’ve changed it to 100,50,150, and 200 and it makes no difference

- @crinrict ??????????? you lost me
- @CoolChick9000 nevermind Thanks I figured out
Hi, I'm having the same issue with finding it, where was it that you found the file in the end? Thanks
Sorry that was meant to reply to a specific comment in the thread 😅
Basically my screen has somehow shrunk both the start up menu and in game, I can't seem to find the options file in the sims 4 folder after following your directions, I can seem to find it anywhere
Please help, thank you!
- crinrict6 years agoHero+@emayg373 This fix isn't needed anymore. You should now find UI Scale in your game options inside the game.
