Re: New lap top

@Sf110708  That's not going to run Sims 4 particularly well.  You didn't list the RAM, but hopefully it has at least 4 GB; if it only has 2, you might not be able to play at all.  Otherwise, you should probably be able to run the game on low settings, although some expansion packs may be too demanding.  The hard drive is also quite small, so much so that if you install Sims 4 and most of the packs, you won't really have room for anything else.

If you'd like to see other options, please let me know your budget and country, as well as any other considerations that matter to you.

That's lovely thank you for your help. It have 4 ram which is good.

She only plays the basic game and has maybe 4 expansion packs so not many. She's not a huge user but does like it

@Sf110708  Just to be clear, this laptop is not a good choice for Sims 4 even with 4 GB RAM; all I was saying is that with 2 GB, it might not run the game at all.  Even with 4 GB, it's not going to run Sims 4 very well; the other hardware is quite weak for the game.

I don't know whether there are better options in your preferred price range, but it maye be worth looking for something at least a little more powerful.

Thought I'd give you a quick update after you were so kind to respond. We bought the lap top because there was nothing else available, I assume due to home learning which is the primary reason my daughter needed a new one. Sims runs beautifully on it, she's so happy as am i! She's not a huge user, only has a few packs but likes it during lock down. Happy family thank you for your help

@Sf110708  I'm glad to hear the laptop is working.  If your daughter wants to add expansion packs though, I'd only buy one at a time and test the game out—it's possible too many packs will be an issue.  Game and stuff packs should be fine.

Thank you, you've been so kind and helpful
