If you're not able to redeem the code on her account through the app, the live support team can help get this game added to her account for you- please go ahead and reach out via Twitter or Facebook so they can manually add this code for you instead. If you have any issues reaching live support there, be sure to let me know!
I am having the same issue as described here.
I was able to get the button to appear by downloading the app on a different computer. Logging into that one and redeeming it there. then went back to the computer they use and in the Manage Add-ons the download button was visible.
I have the same issue too. I installed the EA app on a second laptop. After I logged in with the child account, the ‘redeem code’ option flashed up briefly then immediately disappeared! I had a live chat with support but just went round in circles with them and there was no resolution or any indication that there would be any resolution! Extremely frustrating
