OKAY, i just did the send to desktop (create a shortcut) thing. now what do i do?

Creating a shortcut doesn't move it.
- Click on this folder to select it: documents\electronicarts\thesims4\save
- Press CTL-X to cut
- Switch over to your desktop
- Press CTL_V to paste
This should move your folder so that it's no longer in documents\electronicarts\thesims4\
Then start the game and see if it works. If it does, Open the saves folder on your desktop and start putting the saves back (this time ctl-C to copy and ctl-V to paste. Do it one by one and test the game after each.
