Hello, I have been having the same issue and tried your solution above and it has worked however my saves aren't there. Is there any way to get them moved over?

@LollyGoo22 Yes, you can move your saves from the old Sims 4 folder to the new one the game created. Saves are located in the saves folder, naturally, and you can simply drag and drop, or copy and paste if you'd prefer to keep a backup (always a good idea).
