Re: Sim can't leave lot - unknown sim is dying
There is no other way out of this situation than to leave the game without saving.
If you have a second family, first go to their home. Play there a moment and only then switch to the first one.

If it will not help - leave the game.
When you leave the game find The Sms4 game folder in the Documents.
You can enter directly to Documents from the Start Menu.
There you will see an Electronic Arts folder.
Inside this isThe Sims 4 folder.
Locate where the file named localthumbcache.package is and delete it.
Don't worry, this file will be recreated after the game is turned on.
Fix the game in Origin.
Origin/Library - right click on TS4 - option "Repair game"
You have to wait until Origin will fix all packs, not only the base game.
