Yes, I am using a Lenovo Legion laptop. I have attached the dxdiag file to this post.

@SimCraz3d Are you using the EA app or Origin to launch the game? What antivirus are you using?
ADD: Razor gamemanager may be causing the issue. I recommend checking Razor to see if there is a newer version.

I am using norton antivirus and I am using the EA app. I switched from origin to EA app a few months ago. Also, I checked and I have the latest version of razer cortex. I actually haven't been using it at all when I play the sims 4 lately because I keep forgetting about it.
@SimCraz3d Does the game save your progress when you use "save" or "save as"? Please test both. You don't need to quit; just put the game into windowed mode and see if you have a new save file to match. Saves should be inside Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 > saves, but sometimes the game uses a folder in OneDrive, so double-check that you're looking at the correct folder. Here's how:

Please also let me know if this happens when you quit without saving. (You can save separately immediately before quitting.) And I'd like to know how full OneDrive is as well, even if you never use it.

I have tested both ways and it happens no matter what I do 😞
@SimCraz3d What about OneDrive?

I'm sorry, I only partially answered your question. It does save my progress whenever I use save or save as. However, it gets stuck after and I am forced to use task manger or sign out to fully exit the game. I do have onedrive as well. I believe I disabled it a while back because it was causing other issues for me. I am not quite sure what you are asking me about the onedrive folder, but I do see a save in that folder, but it isn't my current save. I actually don't think the game is using the one drive sims4 folder. Perhaps, I should delete it.

I'm so sorry to double post, but I figured out what was causing the issue. It was gshade. I had been having some issues with gshade lately. I had to uninstall the sims, and gshade and do fresh installs. Everything is working perfectly now. Thank you all for your help.
