Re: Sims 4 backup file won’t work
You need to copy the contents of the Saves folder and the Tray folder from your backup to the new folders that were created.

Sorry for the late reply, I have done that and there are files in it but still don’t come up when I start the game :/
- @Cloch5 Did you make a backup of the complete The Sims 4 folder? When you did that you can copy this backup folder and replace it in Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4. This will bring back any save, old family and your mods.
In that case you have not placed them in the correct folders. Here is an easy way to find out which folder your game is using: https://sims4.crinrict.com/eng/2018/07/how-to-find-your-user-folder/
