Thank you! I'll just take care of the Nahimic stuff, since I'm really in no mood to cause more problems for myself.

Nahimic has been removed, but I'm still having issues with crashing - except now there's sometimes a graphic component, too. I have a picture of the graphic that sometimes happens and a new DxDiag from today. What's the next step?

@writtenShipper  Your dxdiag has eight new errors that all reference a Nahimic .dll in relation to a component of Windows 10's audio engine.  Did you get errors when uninstalling Nahimic, or did you run something else that might have involved Nahimic before uninstalling it?  If it's gone, it shouldn't be throwing any more errors.

But one problem with a dxdiag is that the errors it lists don't have time stamps.  Another approach is to look for entries related to Sims 4 in the Reliability Monitor, since they'll be clearly labeled.  Hit Windows key-R and enter "perfmon /rel" without quotes, and look for entries from the last few days that mention Sims 4 or Origin, or that correspond with when you were playing.  Click "view technical details" and copy the info into a text document, then attach it to a post.

In the meantime, to cover all bases, pull your entire Sims 4 game folder out of Documents\Electronic Arts (you can put it on your desktop), and see how the game runs in a clean folder.  Let me know whether you get crashes or any other weird graphcis glitches.

Thank you for being so helpful during this. I've been so close to tears so many times. I did notice there was a point where the entries mentioned a successful installation of Nahimic, but I know I never re-installed it. It's somehow back in my Task Manager, though, even though I know I didn't have any error reports when attempting to uninstall it. I've also attached the requested text document of what I'm mostly sure are Sims 4 crashes, but I know I've had other games crashing now, too.

I didn't get through CAS mode before I got the same crash, but there wasn't anything graphic to it this time. It just froze.

Update: I managed to fully purge Nahimic by re-installing the driver and then using the supplied uninstall included in the Nahimic package. This time when I played Sims, I got through maybe another 5 minutes before my laptop suddenly restarted. Not too sure what that one means, but my next idea is to go through my Device Manager and update my drivers from there just in case that's related.

Another update: After updating all my drivers, I so far have gone just under an hour without any crashes, so I'm hoping it's been fixed... but I'll try to let it run for longer when I have more time just to confirm.

@writtenShipper  That's really good to hear, and yes, updating drivers is almost always a good move.  I'm surprised that Nahimic has been such a pain to deal with, but maybe I shouldn't be.

At any rate, if you do get another crash, please run another dxdiag, and if I don't see anything obvious, I'll ask for a second opinion.

First crash since updating my drivers, and it was the same as the first type of crash. The game just stopped, the fan on my computer kept going, and there was nothing graphic telling me my game had crashed (as opposed to when the screen would be shifted all weird). Here's the DxDiag.

I did the updates a couple of days ago (and there were a LOT), and I haven't had an issue since! I've played for multiple hours now, too, so I believe the issue is resolved! Thank you so much for your help!
