Re: sims 4 error code makes game unplayable :( 109:e56fc6bb:b233b104

Not sure if I understand you correctly: If you have no added cc/mods at all, the old save game works or do you get the error

It is possible that the save is corrupted though. You can just save your Sims and lots to your library and place in a new save. You will loose all relationships except relation withing households though.

    Hi,

    Thanks for your quick reply.

The old saved game works without the CC.

I have since saved my sims to the library and launched them into the new saved game, however still get the 109 error in the new game with those sims. Weirdly, new sims that weren't brought over from the old save work fine. It just seems to be an issue with any sims from the old save, could they be corrupted?

    Regards.

  • It's not the mods, it's the recent update crashing the save files. I have both versions in my Xbone that my relative is playing and one on my PC.

My PC has mods and of course, being Xbone, that doesn't have any and both of us have the same issue with different error codes. His was 109, mine was 170-something. Both have the same issue and after sending one of my Sims to uni, I can't get her back. For his, he can't even travel anywhere as if his cop Sim was to go to a crime scene and return to the police station, it instantly tosses him out to the Home World selection screen.

I'm pretty sure it isn't the mods giving issues now since, come on. If it's mods, my PC version should crash, sure but a clean Xbone? With no mod? Also facing the same issue? Hell no. Unbelievable that it's mods crashing it now.

@FRGC-Reaper  If this is the exact error you're getting:

    https://answers.ea.com/t5/Bug-Reports/CURRENT-ISSUE-Error-code-109-e56fc6bb/m-p/9168458#M133100

Please post in that thread with the info requested in the accepted solution (marked for visibility).  It's not mods-related, at least not this time around.  For the error 170, and the error 109 if it's not the one above, please start a new thread and list the entire string of characters in the error.  And please do test without mods on your PC, just to be thorough.  While the error 109 isn't due to mods, the other one may be.

I can definitely say it's not mod related. I removed it completely, repaired the game, the other error still happens. Place in the mods again with a clean install, it tosses this thing back.

The mod was also recently patched for Eco Living which I don't have on my PC but I had another patch yesterday and it works before the patch hits and now it isn't. I'll try to start a new thread if I have the time.
