Re: Sims 4 Flashes and crashes to desktop - won't launch
@Jaelle75 There's no obvious explanation in your dxdiag for why Sims 4 is crashing. So as a test, please install Origin:
Open your game library, right-click on the Sims 4 icon, select Move Game, and choose a new folder for the game, preferably one you've created yourself. Let Origin complete the process, then right-click on the Sims 4 icon again and select Repair.
If that doesn't help, please let me know whether OneDrive is running, even if you're not using it. Please also let me know the default location of Documents. Open a File Explorer window, right-click Documents in the left panel, select Properties > Location, and post the location. You can write [username] instead of your actual username if you want, but leave the rest of the file path intact, and let me know if the username you see is NOT the one you use to sign into Windows.
The Sims 3 error is a known issue with 12th-gen Intel processors. The workaround is to limit the game to one CPU core as it starts loading. The various ways to do this are explained in the accepted solution in this thread:
It's not necessary to run the game or the launcher in compatibility mode, so please remove that setting if you haven't already.
