Here are a few things that you can try:
Remove any mods and/or custom content that you may have
Uninstalling and reinstalling Origin (Your games will still be installed and all that)
Uninstalling and reinstalling the Sims 4 (Your saves will still be there)
Repairing the Sims 4 via Origin (Right-click the Sims 4 in your game library and click "Repair Game")
Clear the Sims 4 cache
Clear Origin's cache
Repairing the game now through origin. Hoping it works!

Did repair game.
Fridge work but now sims will walk a rediculus way to fix food.
In the Sim - Lewis house the a sime went to the third floor bathroom to fix a BLT meal.
I think this bug is back. My Sims magically open the refrigerator from long distances and then will eventually be unable to use it at all. Repairing the game and deleting Origin avatar cache files seems to be the only thing that helps but it comes back eventually.
This bug seems to run directly in conjunction with the inventory bug where my Sim is putting things in the refrigerator from inventory and the hand gets stuck. After that the fridge stops working.
