Re: sims 4 problem

@Daty456  When you have Sims 4 installed through Steam, it can only be repaired through Steam, not through the EA App.  To do that, open your Steam library, right-click the Sims 4 tile, and select Properties > Local files > Verify integrity of the game files.

Please also go into Documents > Electronic Arts and move the Sims 4 folder to the desktop, then try to play.  Let me know whether you can start a new save and play in live mode.  If you can't, please describe what happens when you try, including a screenshot or the exact text of any error code you see.  The important thing is how the game runs, or fails to run, right now.

I have been doing the verify integrity of the game file on steam many times and it still doesn't work, but i would try moving the sims 4 folder to desktop and see what happens.

it says an error occurred while updating the sims 4 (app running) i don't really know what that means?

  • and now it went back to the play button. this always happens, the sims 4 would say ready to launch then it goes into running and then goes back to play button and keeps saying its updating the sims 4

@Daty456  What antivirus do you use?  Does it help to run Steam and the EA App as an admin?  You can right-click on each one's shortcut and select "Run as administrator."  Please restart your computer before trying this, and don't open any other apps aside from the game launchers.
