Re: Sims 4 wont open in english

@Lola38103  Among other things, changing the language of the game from English to German made it create a new user folder, called "Die Sims 4" rather than "The Sims 4," in Documents > Electronic Arts.  So if there's a problem with the original folder, you've found a workaround.

Therefore, please switch back to English and try playing in a clean user folder.  Move the entire Sims 4 folder out of Documents > Electronic Arts and onto your desktop, and when you launch the game, if it launches, a clean folder will spawn with no content.  (Your saves and other content will be intact in the folder you moved but temporarily not read by the game.)  Don't add anything to the new folder yet; just let me know whether you can get far enough to start a new save and play in live mode for a bit.

If that doesn't help, let me know what antivirus you use, if any; and whether OneDrive is running on this computer, even if you never use it.
