Re: Slow/Laggy Game

@XxIamMeXx  Please start by running a couple of basic checks on your Windows system files.  Here's how:

  • Hit Windows key-X
  • Choose either “PowerShell (Administrator)” or “Command prompt (Administrator),” whichever option is offered
  • Inside the window that appears, copy and paste “DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth” without quotes into the window, and enter
  • The system will start validating soon. If it throws an error, please list it here
  • After it reaches 100%, hit Windows key-X again
  • Again, choose “PowerShell (Administrator)” or “Command prompt (Administrator)”
  • Inside the window, copy and paste “sfc /scannow” without quotes into the window, and enter
  • Post the message you receive here

Restart your computer, hit Windows key-i, select Update & Security, and click the button to check for updates.

Restart again, and run another dxdiag.  Hopefully your processor will be listed this time.  As for updating the driver for the graphics chip, there's a newer Intel driver offered by Lenovo specifically for your laptop; you can find it here:

https://pcsupport.lenovo.com/us/en/products/laptops-and-netbooks/300-series/320-17ikb/downloads/driver-list/component?name=Display%20and%20Video%20Graphics

Restart after installing it and before playing Sims 4 again.

@puzzlezaddict I'm still on the DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth step and this is all that came up and when I went on to the sfc /scannow step, nothing happened.

@XxIamMeXx  Restart your computer and try again.  Once you've entered the DISM command, just wait a few minutes, and if you don't see anything aside from what's in your screenshot, let me know.  But if you try to run another command at the same time, it's entirely possible neither one will work.
