Re: the requested operation requires elevation of privileges

@ReynaValdez and @lstlfiregaming  Please check whether you've set Sims 4 to run as an admin.  Right-click its desktop shortcut and select Properties.  The option would be there, and if it's present, please disable it.

If this doesn't help, please check both TS4_x64 and TS4_DX9_x64 within the game's program files.  They'll be here:

[install location]\The Sims 4\Game\Bin

@ReynaValdez  Please remove the -dx11 command line argument as well.  It shouldn't be necessary and might complicate troubleshooting further.

oh my gosh disabling the run as administrator option fixed my problem! Everywhere in internet there is that you must run as administrator to work properly so i never even consider it as a problem. Thank you so much! What a relief!

hi, i tried everything you said to do and its still not working what do i do?

  • @SHXYDE  Try deleting the entire Bin folder, as well as any desktop shortcuts you have for Sims 4.  Make sure the EA App is closed and the EABackgroundService is NOT running in the Task Manager's background processes list first.  Then repair the game (App game library > Sims 4 > Manage > Repair) and try to play.

If this doesn't help, repeat the process but with your antivirus disabled.  As long as you don't do anything else at the same time, your computer should be safe, and you can reenable the AV after trying to open the game.
