Well, not every computer is exaclty the same, it's impossible to have a solution that works 100% for everyone. Do you get the exact same error message?
Please post a DxDiag:

Hi, person with Swedish computer! If you want help in Swedish, go to the Swedish sim board, make a new post and I'll answer there instead! 🙂
But I'll answer in English for now (only English on this forum).
Your computer might have some other problems that keeps the game from starting, and we need to check them first.- According to the DxDiag you have no free space on your computer
Free Space: 2.9 GB
Total Space: 243.8 GB
Is this your only drive? You should have at least 15% free space on your drive just to have windows running correctly, that would be at least 37 GB. Please clean your computer. Remove all files you don't need, or move them to an external drive. Run Diskrensning to clean out more stuff, and maybe old windows if you ever updated from another OS (only do this using the program not by yourself). - Your graphics drivers are from 10/1/2013, and do not show any dedicated memory, which is strange. If that's just an error that might be fixed by updating your drivers. https://support.ts.fujitsu.com/IndexDownload.asp?lng=EN
Did the game ever work on your computer or have you always had this problem? 🙂
Fix the thing s above first and we'll go from there! - According to the DxDiag you have no free space on your computer
- JGiroux237 years agoSeasoned NoviceHey so I found this on another page. Not sure if your having this same problem. However, I can not take credit for it. Thanks to DemolitionsTech my game runs great! If doesn't work, I'm sorry.
Sims 4
unable to start:
initialization error at start up.
[135dec40:29f00e76:00000084:18a1dd51]
I reinstalled and updated windows 10 to version 1709, Installed origin then installed sims 4, error popped up every time. Sometimes it would say Sims 4 already running. turned out to be windows defender. I didn't have a antivirus installed and was just using Windows Defender.
This is what i did.
Open Windows Defender
Click Virus & Threat protection
Click Virus & Threat protection settings
Scroll down to controlled folder access
"Turn off"
if you don't want to turn it off then:
Click Allow an app through controlled folder access
Click Add an allowed app
Browse to your origin games\The sims 4\game\bin folder
select TS4.exe click open
if your running 64 bit
select TS4_x64.exe click open
I'm on 64 bit windows and I added both.
Startup origin and try running the game again.

Omg 😮!!!!!!
That worked thank you so much I have tried for so long to fix it well done for posting that thank you again !
- Thank you soooooooo much. I spent hours trying every fix I found until I followed your instruction.
And when I went to ' Allow an app through controlled folder access' clicked on previous blocked app and saw TS4_x64.exe I understood you were right! What JGiroux23 said was a great help. I did the uninstall and reinstall with no luck. Turned off the controlled folder access and now works. Ty
