I don't know if my French helper will be able to help you here. I encountered the same problem as you with the extension for rent. Here's how I made it work. I uninstalled EA, and downloaded a version of Origin which still works: https://origin.fr.uptodown.com/windows
I let all the extensions download in the background, I saw that the extension I rented had been downloaded. So I authorized to migrate to EA app, and the extension is present in my game. It still appears "in preparation" on the EA but works in the game (that's the main thing). Hope to have helped you. Good day.
