@thegrreatfall When a program freezes, if you can bring up the ctrl-alt-delete menu, you can choose to sign out rather than bringing up the Task Manager. Windows will then force-close any running applications and put you back on the initial sign-in screen rather than shutting down.
Does this problem ever happen when you save alone, or when you quit without saving? I'm not saying you can't save, just that it may help to separate the steps, saving first, then quitting.
