@paigeexe  If you currently have a Sims 4 folder in Documents > Electronic Arts, please move it to the desktop.  This will prevent your saves and other user data from loading, but the files will still be intact and can be restored later.  For now, just see whether the game loads.

If it doesn't, please try pausing OneDrive syncing.  You can see the option by right-clicking the cloud icon in the lower-right corner of the screen.

If that doesn't help either, please create a new admin Windows account and try playing there.  Make it local, as in, don't link it with your Microsoft account.  You'll be able to (try to) launch Sims 4 without reinstalling anything.
