So every time I need to repair my game I have to do it this way?
Nevermind, I have the option to repair the game now, thank you!!!
What did you do to repair your game? I am also unable to find the repair option in the EA app and the verify integrity of files in steam doesn't work.
@6409473a1bbf51fe With a Steam install, your only option is the verify files one. What problem are you having that this doesn't solve? Please describe it in detail so we can try to help.

Most my stuff is on the ea app not steam so most my packs don't get repaired only base game and the two things I bought on steam

How did you do so because alot of my packs need a repair
@selpup What issue are you seeing that you're trying to repair in order to correct? If the problem is with your EA App-installed packs, you can simply delete the packs' folders and download them again. It's not as efficient as a repair but should still work fine. Look for the pack folders here:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\The Sims 4
It's still not working
@Silogirl3 What kind of install do you have: EA App, Steam, or Epic? Is the repair not working, or something else?
How were you able to repair the game?
@Horsefabio In the EA App, open your game library, click Sims 4, and select Repair. In Steam, open your library, right-click the Sims 4 tile, and select Properties > Local files > verify integrity of the game files.
If this doesn't help, please describe the issue you're seeing.
whenever i try to open my game it doesnt let me go in and it says that i need to repair my game via origin or delete any installed mods, ive looked through my files like 5 times and i have no mods installed. ive installed it via steam
@kurtsfav_ It sounds like you're seeing this error:
If so, please try the suggestions in the first post on page one. Otherwise, please post a screenshot of the error.
omg i just moved the sims 4 folder out of documents and into desktop and now i can play it, tysm
- @puzzlezaddict right click or any clicks doesn't pull up options. only option is manager for addons wich does nothing
@MystyXavier Are you playing through the EA App or Steam? In the App, the repair option is under Manage; in Steam, it has to be there somewhere, but perhaps Steam changed its layout. You're still looking for something like "verify integrity of the game files."
- @bannabelle97How did you get the option i need it so badly
Thank you for this, but I can't seem to find my Verify integrity. I went to the Properties, then to the Browse local files, but Verify integrity is not popping up. Is it a folder or something? I just can't seem to find it.
@tanktop2012 I don't have Sims 4 installed through Steam, but for my other Steam games, the option is now under Properties > Installed files.

You are a life saver. Thank you so much doe the help. 🙂
- @puzzlezaddict There is no local files option when I select properties, just general, updates, betas, controller, DLC, game recording and privacy.
@angelliciso Look under General, and then the other categories if you don't see "Verify integrity of the game files" anywhere else.
