Re: Unable to connect to EA servers to activate Sims 4.

@NastyaVicodin

1. Are you sure you are on the same account what you create when registering the game?

Run Origin as Administrator. ( Right click-Origin icon "run as Administrator")

Go to the Origin/library and check if your game is there and check it has the mark "installed".
If it is there - right-click on TS4 - option "repair game"

2. Uninstall Origin using Revo program - free version it will be clean your computer of all traces of Origin

https://www.revouninstaller.com/revo-uninstaller-free-download/

and download again

http://origin.com/download
3. If it still will not work probably your antivirus program or Windows Defender is blocking it.
In this case, you can add the game to exception
https://crinrict.com/blog/2019/03/windows-10-defender-controlled-folder-access.html
4. Try to launch the game in windowed mode
https://help.ea.com/en-us/help/the-sims/the-sims-4/playing-the-sims-4-in-windowed-mode/
5. There is also a possibility that some of your programs running in the background are blocking it.
If you have it - disable the Rivatuner overlay. If you have Nahimic program - uninstall it.

I don't work for EA

    @NastyaVicodin

    I have edited my post one minute ago.
    Point 2. about reinstalling Origin.
    Also, check how much space you have on the C Drive. There, a second game folder should be created when it is enabled. If there is not enough space, the game will not start.

    If you have programs like Peer-to-Peer (P2P), such as uTorrent or Limewire, close them.

    All programs that try to apply a filter, an additional image or an additional graphics interface to the window of a running program can cause problems with the Origin application and games. Origin has its own overlay available in games, so running additional programs of this type can be a source of trouble.
    These types of overlays can be added by voice communication software (VoIP) such as Ventrilo or Mumble, as well as game progress monitors such as Raptr. Close such programs or disable their screen overlay before running the Origin application or game

    One more information. Origin does not work with proxy servers

  • @kreatora I have 27 Gb free on disk C. I don't have p2p programs and don't use proxy. Thank you for help, I really appreciate it, but unfortunately it didn't help.
    My fault that I played sims last time maybe a yeat ago and I dont realise when exactly this problem started. I tried to launch game with different internet providers, even in different cities, but it still dont work for me.
  • @kreatora Also very rarely I have an alert with name Activation.dll and non-readable symbols with explaining of this alert

    @NastyaVicodin If you have followed Kreatoras' suggestions thoroughly, and are still struggling to connect.. you could also try the EA Online 'live' Customer Support, as they can step you through technical issues also.

    Spoiler
    To contact EA support for the live chat:

    - Go here: https://help.ea.com/en/contact-us/#

    - Log in (top right corner) with Origin credentials

    - Click on Sims 4, then follow by choosing PC, technical problem, the game doesn't launch, then select contact option

    - On the next page click on + by the chat option, fill what's necessary so EA support will contact you through chat

    or see more details here: https://answers.ea.com/t5/EA-General-Questions/How-to-contact-a-Game-Advisor-using-the-new-EA-Help-page/m-p/2161281

    Hope this helps.

    @NastyaVicodin

    Small info but very important about this Activation.dll
    1. Open Origin
    2. On top of the Origin Window, click on 'Origin' in the menu bar
    3. In the drop-down menu, click on 'Application Settings'
    4. In the settings window, click on "Origin In Game"
    5. Remove the mark in the 'Enable Origin In Game' checkbox
    ( If the checkbox is greyed out and you can't uncheck the mark, then your game is running in the background, though you can't see it in the task bar.
    In that case, you can either try: - Restart Origin - Kill the game executable via task manager - Log off windows and log back in - Reboot your computer)
    Hope it will help
