    @cozykhuwa  The lag is likely because of the combination of many packs, many sims on the lot, and the very little memory your computer has.  What you can do is not run anything alongside Sims 4, I mean other than the EA App; and put the EA App in offline mode if you're not going to use the Gallery or play through a login event in that particular play session.  Restart your laptop immediately before you want to play as well.  This will free up as much memory as possible for the game.

    I believe you could add another RAM module if you wanted, which would help at least a little and perhaps a lot.  Memory is cheap and easy to install, so if you're going to keep this laptop for a while, it's a reasonable upgrade.  You'd want laptop memory specifically, DDR3 running at 1600 MHz, and an 8 GB module would be fine.
