Red X Box Where Icons and Faces Should Be

Product: The Sims 4
Platform:PC
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Often (50% - 99%)
What is your current game version number? 1.50.67.1220
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? All expansions and game packs. Laundry Day, Luxury, Perfect Patio, Romantic Garden, Spooky Stuff, and Vintage Glamor stuff packs.
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? I have no idea. It just started to appear.
What happens when the bug occurs? Faces and sim/object icons are Xed out
What do you expect to see? Icons should be visible
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Never used.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Yes
Please describe the patch or change you made. Installed Island Adventure

Sims' reaction faces, face icons, and object icons are frequently appearing as white boxes with a red X through them. This started with Island Adventure and seems to only affect that neighborhood

in particular.

    @arianator3942 I think it's an issue of the game not creating the thumbnail for this particular Sim but it's hard to tell what's caused it and I kinda don't have an idea to force the game to create one

    Did you send the Sim to the netherworld or is he still a ghost in your game ? If he's still a ghost you can check if making appear creates the icon.

    I never sent her to the netherworld but i bet her spirit is faded by now. At this point she is from a few generations back

    @arianator3942 Then I don't think there's a way to fix it. I don't think the game is able to create the missing thumbnail if the Sim is gone.

    bummer, well thanks anyway. do you by chance know of any mods that can be used to see a full family tree all at once?
