Red X's on CC items in Build Buy

Hey, Im having this issue with build buy. There are Red X's on some of my cc items. When I go in my builds those items are missing. Is there a fix for that? I repaired my game and Im repairing it again now just to be sure. I did update my game last week for the Horse Ranch expansion. This is the aftermath. I use mods, however no game-changing mods are causing this. Its just the cc items that are missing. It doesnt say "ScrIpt Error" either. So, nothing is missing. These items I use often. I did do the batch fixes a few days ago after the update with the updated Sims 4 Studio. I dont know what else to do. This glitch is runing my builds.

  • @eclectic_sims  Please test in a clean user folder.  Move the entire Sims 4 folder out of Documents > Electronic Arts and onto your desktop.  If it copies rather than moving, or you get an error when trying to move it, stop here and let me know.

Otherwise, when you launch the game, a clean folder will spawn with no content.  (Your saves and other content will be intact in the folder you moved but temporarily not read by the game.)  Launch the game, enable mods and custom content, quit, download a fresh copy of one of your affected cc items, and install it.  Choose an item that's confirmed compatible with the current patch; if none of them are, please install one anyway but without running the batch fix.  Then load a new save and let me know what you see.

If the freshly-downloaded item is fine, you can move your other cc to the new Sims 4 folder and test it too, again in a new save.  If it's broken, the batch fix might be the culprit, either because of the fix itself or because it didn't run properly on your system.

@puzzlezaddict  Hey, I reset my folder. And I still have Red X's. Im sure that it was the batch fixes. I had some files backedup. However, I still have alot of damaged cc files now that im going to have to redownload. My whole folder wasnt affected. Just one folder of cc was. They were all merged files that I had went thru recently. Thanks for helping. If you know a way on how to weed out some of these damaged files, please let me know. The cc with the Red X's I cant place on the lot in game.

@eclectic_sims  I'm glad the problem is only one folder rather than your entire cc collection.  I don't know of any way to weed out damaged files that's less complicated than simply downloading new copies—you'd probably need to view the files in S4Studio and figure out on your own how to tell the difference.  Let me know if you need any more help with this problem.

In the future, I'd suggest keeping a backup copy of any set of files you're about to merge, then not deleting the backup until you've confirmed the merged files work in-game.  Some people keep a backup of their entire cc libraries, or at least of what's been merged, but I don't know if that's feasible for you.
