Save file not appearing after EA download and can't add last save file

Hello!

A couple months ago I bought a new laptop and when I went to download Origin, it told me to download EA because of Origin being deleted. I did that and not until today I was able to actually download The Sims 4.

In the main page it appears all the hours I played the game, but when I actually started the game I have lost all the things I've done. The game is as if I haven't ever played and had to start a new game.

When I was still using my last laptop, I saved my files in a hardware so I still have the last save file from the last time I played back in June. But when I tried to add it to the new The Sims 4 folder (as I have done in other cases), I noticed there's not save folder in the new The Sims 4 file inside the EA games folder.

I don't know what I am supposed to do because even if I add the save files it won't work, it won't load my last game and it appears as completely new.

I'm not sure if there's a solution or I have basically lost everything I played on my last laptop. I have tried to played a little bit just in case the saves folder appeared, but it hasn't. I don't even know if by doing that I have completely lost the chance to add my last save file again.

If anyone can help me I'd appreciate it! It's just a game, but it still makes me sad the fact I might have lost everything I worked on Devil

  • @mars0208 Hello 🙂
Your saves are kept in your user files in your 'my documents' folder, not your program files.
the path would be something like this: my documents > electronic arts > The Sims 4

Whether you use ea app or origin doesn't change this. I think you're looking at your installation folder instead, which is situated in your program files folder on your hard drive?

  • @DeanXeL Thank you so much! I was so panicked I didn't even realised I was doing it wrong! 😞 Now is working without a problem! 🙂
