If you go to documents\electronic arts\the sims 4, do you still see files in the saves folder ?
Actually the saves have popped up!! A miracle! What do I do from there?

@cringeyjesus First, create a folder (name it Backup Saves or something) on your desktop, and move the saves you found to that folder. Then copy them (right-click and select Copy), open Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4\saves, right-click in the empty space, and select Paste. That way, you'll have backup copies of your saves in case you need them later.
If you get a message about overwriting files, it's because one of the saves you're moving has the same name as a file already in the folder. You can rename one of the affected saves so it has a unique number instead. Just make sure it's still labeled the same way, e.g. Slot_00000005.save or Slot_00000012.save.

After that, do I restart the game or? How will I know when it had worked? I did it yesterday and today my sisters are playing and the saved games still aren’t there but the mods are ☹️

@cringeyjesus When you click Load Game at the Main Menu, you should be able to see all the saves available. That doesn't include the ones with a .verx on the end, but again, you can delete that extension, and renumber the saves if necessary.
If you're not able to load your saves, please open the folder where you've put the saves, highlight the ones you found (you can hold down crtl and click on each one), and take a screenshot. Use the Detail view, so I can see the dates and sizes of the files. Please also include the address bar, above the list of files. To take a screenshot, hit Windows key-shift-S and drag your cursor over the section of screen you want to capture. Then open Paint and crtl-V to paste the image.
