Screen Glitching

Product: The Sims 4
Platform:PC

How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? Holiday Celebration, Spa Day, Dine Out, Vintage Glamour, Vampires, Parenthood, Cats and Dogs, City Living, Get Together, Get to Work
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? I wish I could tell you
What happens when the bug occurs? When I start the game my entire screen starts bugging out. Glitching and flashing, the whole nine yards.
What do you expect to see? For my screen to not freak out.

Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Yes
Please describe the patch or change you made. Downloaded the latest update for the game

After the latest update my game just starts freaking out whenever I try to play the game. I've tried to repair the game multiple times but it's still happening and I'm totally baffled.

    Hi @EJSweatt!
    Seems like your computer doesn't meet the system requirements. You need 128 MB of dedicated memory (you have 112). Your graphics drivers are a few months old though, you can always try updating them and hope it works!

  • I'm having the same issue. Ever since the new update, all of the animation glitches and lags and just bugs out. It's making the game totally unplayable. My game was fine before the patch.

  • Did as asked, the diagnostic report said no problems were found. Added link to my original post though.

    @EJSweatt

    As @CMeki wrote you have too little dedicated memory for your graphics. You may be able to raise this in UEFI BIOS. I would recommend at least 256MB. You have 6 GB RAM so that will not be a problem.

  • Hi @EJSweatt and @stephaniehc1192

    looks like there's a few people that have these flickering issues after the newest update on graphics chip that don't meet requirements.

    Could you check your graphics settings and maybe play around with these a bit ? VSync, lower settings, that kind of stuff.
