There are a lot of fixes but not an easy one. There are like millions of cc and Maxis can't possibly know how they all work, so they focus on the game instead. You just have to go through your mods and update them, I think there should be fixes for like 97% of the mods, you just might have to live without the 3 that does not work.
If you want to keep your mods, you can try some different things to sort out the ones not working:
- If the problem started after the latest patch/update, always make sure to update your mods when you update your game. Check this list out for some mods that were broken in the C&D-patch! A few others have been broken after but not so many that there is a list.
https://simsvip.com/2017/11/07/incompatible-modsupdates-november-7-2017-patch - Download Sims 4 Studio and do batch-fixes for your cc, they have 2 new fixes after C&D
- Search for the Mod Conflict Detector on google and run it, see if it can detect some broken/conflicting mods, remove these and try your game again. (Only detects conflicts between mods, not between mods and the game)
- Remove all and put back some at a time, restart the game, to find broken ones (last resort if you have like 1000 mods).
Good Luck & Merry Christmas!

Thank you, yes, unfortunately I have been playing sims 4 and collecting CC over the years and I'm sure its over 1000 items. As far as Sims 4 studio which has been the ONLY savior for my game since Cats&Dogs I have to wait for a Mac release of their newest download which is going to be a awhile since it was still in testing phase when Maxis released the update.
So I really can't say what the future holds for my Sims but I am definitely waiting a few weeks before I purchase anything or download anything until I can read reviews about what it's doing to other users. I used to get so excited hearing about upcoming expansion packs now I simply dread what they're going to do to my game. Seems like I'm putting in more work than it's worth. But thanks for all the tips and the luck, I will definitely need it.
