oh boy.its been a long day of trying to fix this issue. I use cc, and im positive its a cc issue. But first let me explain whats up. I went and updated all of my mods (since my game was glitching and taking me back to the world select after choosing a family) then it kept loading and loading after I had selected a family. I knew it was a cc issue, and double checked again which mods weren't compatible or if i missed an update. That left the other cc i adore, hairs, cloths and makeup. (i ran the game without mods, and worked fine) I googled to see and some people said to try and repair the game. I did so, but it wouldn't open. I removed all mods from the mods folder, and im not sure what to do right now. I really want to keep my cc, but if i cant access my game to see which cc is causing issues, how can i play ;.;

actually I did something else, fiddled with task manager and it reopned origin. Game ran fine, added my cc back and everything is all working now thankfully.

i have been doing that, but the issue is my sim game or origin is not starting up and i have removed all mods from my mod folder

Are you getting an error message ? Did you try reinstalling Origin ?

actually I did something else, fiddled with task manager and it reopned origin. Game ran fine, added my cc back and everything is all working now thankfully.

I was having the same issue after the seasons update then my game wouldnt load so i thoought buying seasons would fix it but it didnt and now i still cant play. Any help?

The newest game patch broke several mods and custom content. This can happen as we get updates for the game. Players using mods and cc have to go through their mods folder to find what needs to be deleted or replaced.

Disabling or turning off both mod/cc options isn't enough of a test.

To test this, move your mods folder to the desktop, clear your game cache and delete the localthumbcache.package from the Sims 4 folder to help with troubleshooting. Try playing the game again to test. If it loads okay, it may be that some of the mods/cc have become outdated.

I tried to do that and nothing is working. I have fixed some settings, took out old cc, cleared my cache, repaired my game, and deleted and reinstalled Origin and Sims and it has done nothing.

could you give us a bit more details what happens for you ? Origin is also not opening like OP ? Does Origin open when you just open Origin without Sims ?

When I open Origin it opens fine and when I first log into sims it opens fine as well. When I have any mods or cc in my game I can go into CAS and create a new family but when I try to play with that family or any of the families I already have it goes into a endless loading screen or back to manage worlds. As soon as I take out all of my mods and cc my sims works fine and I can play normal without any mods and cc.
