Semi-Transparent Objects Flickering

Updated my game and now I am experiencing graphical issues with certain objects. My graphics Card driver is up to date. My machine has 2 GPU (Intel HD and Nvidia GTX 1060) and I have assigned Sims 4 to use the GTX one. The game runs perfectly at Ultra and has done for the past 2 years. Now I am suddenly getting objects that are partially see-through (but oddly NOT windows or doors) flickering wildly in and out of existence. Here are some examples of objects; the grandfather clocks glass pane flashes visible and then invisible in miliseconds, the ghost gnomes entire object/body will flicker, the naked lightbulbs of certain lights do the same (but does NOT impact lighting), and I even noticed the window to the Park Ranger hut in Outdoor Retreat doing the same thing.

I have tried a game repair and removing CC/mods. Please find attached DXDiag if you need to look at it. This only started happening today after I updated the game. (I put off doing it because of the bad loading screen.)

here are the specs of the GTX 1060, so you don't have to dig through the whole DxDiag if you only need that information:

Card name: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 6GB
Manufacturer: NVIDIA
Chip type: GeForce GTX 1060 6GB
DAC type: Integrated RAMDAC
Device Type: Full Device
Device Key: Enum\PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_1C03&SUBSYS_143819DA&REV_A1
Device Status: 0180200A [DN_DRIVER_LOADED|DN_STARTED|DN_DISABLEABLE|DN_NT_ENUMERATOR|DN_NT_DRIVER]
Device Problem Code: No Problem
Driver Problem Code: Unknown
Display Memory: 14175 MB
Dedicated Memory: 6052 MB
Shared Memory: 8123 MB

    @zuperbuujinx

I don't really understand, what you put off for later, because of bad screen loading?
The game did not turn on after the update? Did it last a very long time?

    They can be different reasons.
    1. One is any errors in the game folder that could be created when you turned on the game without taking out the mods.
Try doing a factory reset of the game folder as described in this post:
    http://answers.ea.com/t5/The-Sims-4/FAQ-Troubleshooting-Steps-amp-Known-Issues/m-p/3621199

    2. Second - some problem arose from the installation of drivers graphics card when you installed the latest drivers on July 18.
You would have to uninstall these drivers and download again, but for now, I would not do it.
    3. You also have errors reported by the system
    Try to fix it
    Run SFC/scannow https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/929833/use-the-system-file-checker-tool-to-repair-missing-or-corrupted-system

Use DISM to repair system image. Open Command Prompt (Admin) and enter the following three commands sequentially and one by one and hit Enter:

    Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth
    Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth
    Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
Let these DISM commands run and once done, restart your computer and try again.

    I don't work for EA

  • The game loads fine. The bright blue gave me a migraine so I did not update the game until I had trained myself to get use to it.

    1. As with all updates, I always remove my mods folder should I have any issues. This is the first thing I did. I will try a factory reset the way mentioned though.

    2. Yeah I won't mess with the GPU right now. All my other games don't seem to have any problems that I can tell. I'll do this last.

    3. Thanks for the info, I'll do that now!
