and repair the game (Sims 4 > Manage > Repair). Or if you play through Steam, right-click the Sims 4 tile and select Properties > Installed Files > Verify integrity of the game files.
If that alone doesn't help, please test a new save. If the new save is fine, go back to your old save, take one of the affected sims into CAS, and change their skin tone, and perhaps one other facial detail. You don't need to save your progress; this is just a test.
By the way, you said you don't have mods, and that usually means no mods or cc. But if you DO have custom content, removing it would be the first troubleshooting step.
