Sim commands get cancelled

Product: The Sims 4
Platform:Mac
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? am up to date
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? I have the work one, the magic one, the city one, the jungle one
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? I noticed it after the most recent update. If I try to give my sim a command the symbol for the action appears then is crossed out. My Sim will only obey commands outside its home lot I have tried repair and reset origin no difference.
What happens when the bug occurs? Sim won't do anything its instructed to do
What do you expect to see? sim should obey commands does own thing even when autonomy is turned off.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Never used.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Yes
Please describe the patch or change you made. Just did the most recent update

    I was in build mode when I signed in from the update. My sim wouldn't go in the house. I managed to get the sim in the house but he would not go to sleep downstairs. I deleted and re-installed the stairs and now it seems fine. Just want to say thank you very much for helping touch wood this is the end of it!

    @jeope If you move to a different home or try a different family, do you have the same issue ?

    I tried opening another game where another sim is on holiday in the outdoors, I can give commands to that sim fine. I opened the game I was having the issue with and I can give commands fine outside the home lot but as soon as my sim goes back home if I try and give a command it simply disappears

    no not in the bathroom they are outside. Sim is very tired and will not go to bed or obey any commands they just disappear. I tried a debug no joy

    @jeope If you give the command to do something outside, does that work ? Is it possibly an issue with the Sim being unable to get into the house ?
