Sim does not own this item

Question

I have run into a bug when playing.I have Seasons, Dine Out and Get to Work and I have recently run into an issue where items my Sim obtains, mainly through seed packets, where they aren't counting towards the gardening collection and I am unable to get my sim to collect them when they are placed in the world.

Haven't seen or heard about them not being able to collected them. Is this on your home lot ?

Yes, it's my Sim's home lot.When the items that should be in my collection are placed in the world; my Sim does not have the "Add to Inventory" command.

@LadyJuse  and you can't open them either ? Just to be sure I'm not misunderstanding
