Sim gets stuck under the stairs

I tested in my game, and I cannot duplicate this issue.  I built a structure that resembles the setup in your picture and sent a sim up the stairs.  Went into build mode when he was halfway up, bought some furniture and went back into live mode.  He continued to climb the stairs to the upper level.  Sent him back downstairs and went into build mode again as he was descending, and knocked down some walls, to see if structural change could cause the problem; it didn't.  What specifically are you doing when you go into build mode and this happens?  Perhaps I could recreate the issue if I had more information...

        I like to say it's a rare bug that started way back when Get Together EP was release when the Paragons club members will fall thought the floor just before the steps/stairs. my fast fix was to replace the stairs .again its a rare bug you wont see for days and days then suddenly a sim will be under the stairs. I also added a door and remove any fence around the stairs encase they fall thought without me noticing it, so they will have a way to escape the stairs trap ... it's a old and rare bug

    It happens to me and I don't know what I was doing when it happens. I have a large family and I don't realize it happened unitl they are dangerously hungry and won't come eat when I send them.

    my sims get stuck under the stairs also. I do not own CL pack and have a vanilla game. The difference is that my sims get stuck under it randomly. Even if i dont go in build/buy mode. Any sugestions?

      In which building ? In one you built yourself ? Make sure there's no gaps,

      If it's a self-built one, could you upload it to the gallery ?
