sima 4 wont update/install

I haven't been able to update sims 4 in awhile and it was annoying but I didn't play much. I just bought get to work EP and well still didn't work. Uninstalled.and reinstalled origin. Didn't work. Uninstalled sims 4 can't download. Don't want young guys to have wasted my money on it. Help
