Autonomy keeps turning off in every new save

Every time I start a new game, the option “Disable autonomy for selected Sim” is automatically turned on.
Because of that, my Sims don’t do anything on their own, they just stand still.

I’ve already tried the following:
– Deleted the entire Electronic Arts/The Sims 4 folder to let the game recreate everything
– Repaired the game through the EA App
– Cleared cache and tested without any mods

The issue still happens even on completely fresh saves.

I’d like to know if there’s a configuration file that keeps forcing this setting, or if I need to reinstall the whole game to fix it.

    I'm also having the same problem. My Sims seem to have no autonomy at all. The finish a task and just stand there. It's a bit better if there's a second Sim. I have removed all mods un-installed and reinstalled the game with the same outcome.

    When I first started playing I remember having to un check that box to play. At some point I stopped having to do so. Now it seams I have to pay attention to that again. I'm not sure if it's resetting itself or not I'll look into that as soon as the internet in my area comes back on.

    No once I un click it in a save it doesn't reset itself. I can go back and play without any problems. Thank you for all your help I greatly appreciate your support in this. I'll have to remind myself to uncheck that box when I start a new save.
