SIMS 4 - Download crashing computer and not loading

I've just bought the Sims 4 fairy edition. Since purchasing the add on the main game will no longer load and continues to crash my computer.  I am not able to remove the download from my computer and...

It runs windows. Since the 18th when I bought the new game add on it will not play and I keep getting a warning message that it wants access to my protected files on the computer. The game will not play
