Sims 4 - Unable To Play After Clearing Cache and reinstalled Game

I'm at my wits end. I have followed EA's recommendations to get Sims 4 to stop giving me error code 00008:

  1. Cleared out caches within the EA app, then restarted it.
  2. Inactivated NordVPN security as a background protection to make sure it doesn't interact witht he game.
  3. Restarted the router for possible connection issues.
  4. Uninstalled and then reinstalled the EA app from the the EA website.
  5. Restarted the whole computer.

Same problem still exist and I can no longer load my previous games and it continues to give me the same error code: 00008 download error.

I would love to purchase some add-on additions to my Sims 4 game but I am not willing to do so if the base game is not working. I am not a computer whiz and the above steps are all I know what to do.

Is someone able to help me figure this out?

Thank you in advance!

Is your Sims delivery on or off for automatic deliveries? May try disabling it, then see if any deliveries are available and get them manually, I keep mine off. Not sure if it's related to your other issues, but I'd try that first.... you don't even have to start the game to disable it, do from the app, see if there are any pending downloads, don't turn it back on, then click to open the main menu screen.... get back to me btw the screen shot definitely helped (oh and I start a lot of my games on base these days, and I have everything (+CC/Mods) - it's a lot of fun starting there)) I'll check back JIC you reply.
