sims 4 \ there is question marks all over where the grass should be? HELP ME

when I updated my sims 4 I went into New Crest and there was coloured squares with questions marks in them covering the grass and then I went into the other worlds and it was the same? im so confused...

I have this problem too, but my game was brand new, straight from the box. No custom content etc to mess it up. It seems to just be one neighbourhood (in the desert town) and a few household items.
