11 years agoSims 4 and origin freezing
Recently whenever I try to launch the sims 4 and origin my computer freezes so I tried to redownload origin and it worked but then when I tried to launch it my computer froze what should I do?
Try to turn off Origin in game to see if it then works: http://sims4.crinrict.com/en/2014/09/deactivate-origin-in-game
I can't do that because my origin won't open, when I try to open it my computer freezes
Ah, I thought the game freezes.
Well, try manually deleting Origin, including cleaning of the registry: http://help.ea.com/en/article/manually-uninstalling-origin/ then redownload the newest version and try again.
Got another issue to go along with the freezing... I tried to uninstall origin to fix the issue and reinstall.... My computer froze about 30 seconds into my uninstall. This is bull s**t. I bypassed another gamestopper a few weeks ago when I found an update was paused. But this is different. I can't get into anything so I don't know how to fix the issue. Come on EA this is a load of s**t...
Did you manually DELETE as stated above ? Also are you the same user as OP ?
Well it's both the game and origin, but I tried to do what you said with the origin and it downloaded successfully but then when I clicked on it, it froze again. It works on my home computer but just not on my laptop(which is newer then my computer and more up to date).
Try if it starts if you do a clean boot: http://help.ea.com/en/article/how-to-clean-boot-your-pc/
I'm afraid I'm out of ideas. Sounds like an issue that concerns Origin and not necessarily the Sims. You can't even start Origin itself, right ? If you just open Origin, your computer freezes ? Not if you double click on the Sims icon ?.
well it's both origin and sims that freeze when I click on them
