Sims 4 Audio Issues

Can anyone help me? I am trying to create a Let's Play using the in-game recording with just headphones and a mic, no special software. It will record the video, but it will not record audio. I've been researching online and noodling with the game and my computer for hours and I can't figure out what the problem is. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

Yes. I can hit "V" and record a video, but no audio records with it. I have my microphone hooked up and I can hear myself speaking, but the game won't record it.

Does it record the game sound itself ?

The game recording isn't set up to record your voice. If you want to do that, you'll need a third party tool like for example Fraps
