Sims 4 black screen when selecting anything in build/buy

Everytime I select anything in build/buy the screen goes black. If I tab to the desktop and then back the screen will be back but anytime I click anything including options or switching to live mode ...

I am having this problem. My screen is on the lowest resolution, and all my detail options are low. Still getting blackout when using alt-tab. I can't play my game when it does this. I just have to turn it off and hope it doesn't do it again... I'm seriously disappointed.
