I have the exact same problem. Game works fine with a new save until i exit the game and try to run it again. Game crashes before main menu, when i take out the save folder, games runs normal until I close it and try to run it again. Did reinstalling the game work for you? Or does anyone else have a solution?
@PolishBelgian Btw I have no custom content or mods and i have a 64-bit OS so I don't think that I need the Legacy Edition of The Sims 4
