Sims 4 CAS Camera Glitch

Hello. I'm sorry if this post is a duplicate of another one but I am far too impatient to go searching for someone with a vaguely similar issue. So, let me get down to business.

I purchased the Sims 4 in October of 2014 and ever since then, Create-A-Sim has been acting up. When I spend at least 5-7 minutes in CAS (or I click too much), the cursor turns into the camera rotater, and I can't click on anything except the Sim to turn it.

Here is a tweet I made earlier directed to EA's and The Sims's Twitter accounts. This tweet is basically a video showing an example of my problem and me requesting assistance from EA and The Sims. Unfortunately, neither account has yet to reply. And this issue has been addressed before (I'm sure) and still has no solution.

Currently, I am using an ASUS laptop with Windows 8 in it. At the very least it's Windows 8. I'm not 100% sure, but my laptop is completely up-to-date with everything.

Also, I do not have an external mouse. I've tried what I could from this thread to help my problem, but my issue is still unresolved.

I was wondering if anybody else has had this issue and if there are any solutions for it at all? This glitch has only happened to me in CAS, though I've seen people complain that it happens in Build Mode, as well.

It would just be nice to be able to spend as long as I want in CAS without worrying about this glitch coming around and making me lose all of my progress on the Sims I create. So...help wanted. Lol.
