Sims 4 Cats & Dogs glitch

I have two glitches going on with my game currently. The first is that sometimes when I have one of my sims take the dog for a walk or jog no matter the distance, they just stand in the same spot with the dog leashed. The sim will get the buff (energized if its a jog) but they still just stay there. Even if I cancel and try a different form of walk it doesn't change anything. The second and most annoying one is that my cat STILL manages to get pregnant even though she's been spaded. I even undid and redid it at the vet with no luck. It's super annoying because my female sim is a cat lover and every time the cat gives birth its to two or more kittens. So every time I sell them or give them up for adoption I get that unnecessary sad buff that should have been prevented,
