Sims 4 Cats and Dogs missing animations

How often does the bug occur? All the time
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? Spa, Holiday, City, Luxury, Outdoor Retreat, Vintage, Romantic G, P. Patio, Cats&Dogs, GTW, Vampires
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? When I select "Go for a walk" with any type of dog (big, small, pure, mixed) it doesn't work. Even if I select "Go for a jog, short, medium, long walk" it doesn't work. Also, when I click "Pick Up" with both cats and dogs it doesn't work as well.
What happens when the bug occurs? My sim would put a leash on the dog, and then it will glitch out and my sim would go on a T-shape and the command cancels out. Nothing happens then. They don't leave the lot and the leash disappears. When I select "Pick Up" it simply cancels out the command and nothing happens.
What do you expect to see? My sims actually being able to walk the dog and leave the lot. Also be able to actually pick up their pets.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Yes but I already tried removing my entire mods folder and it is still bugging out.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? No
Please describe the patch or change you made. I just installed the Cats and Dogs Pack. My game was up to date when I did it. 2/1/2018
Try resetting your files to factory settings.
- Make a backup; copy your The Sims 4-folder from C:\Users\Username\Documents\Electronic Arts to an external drive or somewhere else on your computer, for example your desktop.
- Rename the The Sims 4-folder in C:\Users\Username\Documents\Electronic Arts to The Sims 4_backup
Open your Origin client and go to My Game Library, right-click The Sims 4 and choose Repair.
- Start the game, make a new save, and see if the error is gone.
(The game will have created a new The Sims 4-folder in your documents, this is supposed to happen)- If yes, continue
- If no, post a reply telling us the error is still there
- Start putting folders back in the new The Sims 4-folder. Observe! After every file/folder, start the game and make sure it still works, before putting in the next one.
- Options.ini - your game settings
- Saves - your old saves. The sub-folders are not needed. If putting these back causes problem, try putting one back at a time.
- Screenshots
- Custom music - if you have any
- Tray - your library objects; like lots, rooms and sims
- Mods - your mods and cc, might cause problems when putting back
If putting back one of the folders was problematic and you did not work it out, please post a reply and we'll see if we can find what your problem is!
