Okay, I've tried the following:1. Using the right CTL button and the right SHIFT button and combinations with them with the left CTL and SHIFT buttons.2. Shut down of all other apps, including loading Sims with NO other apps on.3. Completely log out and sign out of Origin then logging back in.4. Repairing my game.5. Uninstalling and reinstalling Origin (This step was also done due to having problems with even loading Origin.)6. Restarting immediately AND shutting off computer and waiting a while before turning it back on.7. Moving the game files in and out.NOT ONE of these has worked in successfully getting the cheat bar open. (And before this is stated, there are NO mods installed.)The last time I remember it working was before the newest September 12th patch, so maybe it's the patch that's causing the problems.Any thing else I should attempt, or is this is going to be a patch fix?

Does that mean you tried the clean boot described here: https://help.ea.com/en/help/faq/how-to-clean-boot-your-pc/

Did you try on a new save when you moved the files out ?

It is not enough to press CTRL and Shift you also need to press C. All at the same time.

I am fully aware of that. When I say I pressed those buttons, it was in the sequence needed to open the cheat bar (CTL+SHIFT+C). I've had no problems with this in the past til now.

Yes, I have done the clean reboot and have tried a new save file. Nothing is working.

Do other keyboard command do what they are supposed to ? Like pressing M for the map or 0,1,2,3 for the speed ?

Yes they do. Every other key function works in gane but the cheat bar command.

SOLUTION THAT WORKED: CTL+SHIFT+Windows Button+C
I have ZERO idea what a MSI computer is and how to tell the difference, but it worked!

MSI is a brand. They make all kinds of hardware stuff.

hey! what I found works is if you either have windows 10 or just experiencing problems as I have...I found out that if orgin is running in the background and or is running in your game that cnrl-shift-c is actually the command to bring up that chat window so because it is already bound to that, using it in game wont work. so go into your orgin and turn off orgin in game and make sure you do it in your sims game settings as well should be the little gear looking icon under the play 🙂 hope this helps!
