Sims 4 City Living Political Career
I've tried to find a guide for this but couldn't find one helpful enough. How do I successfully promote a cause for my sim because he's in the political career?

Did you pick a cause yet ? After that you should have the option to promote your cause to other Sims.
If that's not the problem, could you be more specific on how you can't successfully promote ?
I have a political Sim, too. Another response indicated you must select a cause; however, my Sim did Promote her Cause one time before she selected her cause. That may have been a fluke. Basically, you click on a nearby Sim and choose a Friendly Interaction called Political Career, then select Promote Cause.
